ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
SANFORD, PIERSON, THONE & STREAN, PLC isn’t your typical law firm. If you want to be a part of a tight-knit team where you feel like a member of the family, this could be the perfect position for you. We pride ourselves on being different. We aren’t a downtown law firm, and that’s intentional. We love doing sophisticated work while still valuing work-life balance, community, and family.
Our firm has established practice areas in business organizations, litigation, real estate, estate planning and probate. We are excellent at what we do which is why our clients trust us and develop deep, long-term relationships with us. We are devoted to their success because we know them personally and their challenges. They aren’t just numbers to us; they are real people.
We are currently seeking an associate attorney with up to five years of experience to work in all of our firm’s practice areas. This is a tremendous opportunity for a newer attorney to work closely with a team of exceptional experienced attorneys in a variety of practice areas.
We are looking for an associate attorney with strong academic credentials, exceptional analytical and writing abilities, outstanding interpersonal skills, and the initiative to take an immediate role in: (1) drafting business transactions, estate planning and litigation documents, (2) having direct contact with clients and opposing counsel, (3) court appearances in state and federal district courts, and (4) networking and assisting the firm in maintaining and developing its client and referral source relationships.
We want our attorneys to build thriving practices while enjoying their lives – that’s what sets us apart. Maybe you’ve tried the grind of the larger law firms, and you know you want something different. Maybe you are coming off a clerkship or out of government work, and you want to enjoy a balanced, well-rounded practice and life while still doing complex, interesting work while learning from skilled senior attorneys. We offer a supportive and creative work environment full of good people who genuinely care about you and your long-term success.
If you’re ready to jump in, grow your practice and your skills, and have fun along the way with a team of bright, funny, passionate attorneys, we’d love to hear from you.
To apply for this position, you must be currently licensed to practice in Minnesota.
