The city of Minneapolis recently passed a new wage theft ordinance that is effective January 1, 2020. This is on the heels of the new Minnesota Wage Theft Laws that went into effect July 1, 2019.

The city ordinance additionally requires employers to provide notice of benefits under the sick and safe time ordinance.  For more information specific to the Minneapolis Wage Theft Prevention Ordinance click here.
